Pentagon: US Forces in Afghanistan not Conducting Operations in Pakistan
US troops in Afghanistan are targeting enemies inside Afghanistan only but don’t have authorities to conduct operations in Pakistan, a top US military official told a press briefing.
Brigadier General Lance Bunch (USAF), director for NATO’s Resolute Support mission, Future Operations, US Central Command, Kabul was briefing the press through a video conference from Afghanistan on Tuesday. He was asked specifically if the US has the authority to conduct strike in Pakistan.

Two Ancient Tombs Discovered in Egypt’s Luxor
Archaeologists have discovered two ancient tombs in the southern city of Luxor in Egypt.

Baghdad Questions Tillerson’s Remarks on PMF, Brands them Meddling in Internal Affairs
The media office of Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi questioned on Monday the recent remarks of US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), labeling them an interference in the country’s internal affairs.
A source close to Abadi said: “No one has the right to meddle in Iraqi affairs.”
Tillerson had said on Sunday it was time for the Iraqi PMF and their Iranian advisers to “go home,” in wake of the defeat of the terrorist ISIS group.
