In Rubble of Aleppo Souk, Tablecloth Shop Makes Solitary Comeback
It used to be one of the most vibrant marketplaces in the Syrian city of Aleppo, but today, the bombed-out streets of Khan al-Harir are home to a solitary shop selling tablecloths, said an AFP report on Sunday.
Mohammad Shawash’s partly restored storefront stands amid a sea of smashed concrete and debris-laden roads.
The 62-year-old with a snow-white beard and glasses decided to return to the historic souk five months ago to reopen the shop he had managed for years.

Emir of Kuwait Issues Decree to Form New Government
Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued on Monday a royal decree to form a new government headed by Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, reported the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA).
The previous cabinet resigned on October 30 when its acting information minister, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, was questioned by parliament and faced a no-confidence vote over violations of budgetary and legislative rules.

Yemeni military sources of the General People’s Congress considered that the current battles in the capital Sana’a are in favor of the Republic.
The battles in Sana’a are proceeding according to a military tactic based on luring the Houthi militias and their sleeper cells, before attacking them to liberate the capital, sources told Asharq Al-Awsat.

طفلة في الثالثة تقتل شقيقتها الصغرى بطلق ناري
وقعت حادثة مروعة في ولاية تينيسي الأميركية، فقد قامت فتاة في الثالثة من عمرها بإطلاق النار على شقيقتها وعمرها سنة واحدة، وذلك بعد أن ترك أحد الرجال سلاحه مع الفتاة بطريق الخطأ.
وقالت الشرطة الأميركية إن الطفلة روبين قتلت عن طريق الخطأ بعد أن ترك شون مور (25 عاما) السلاح، والذي تم القبض عليه من شرطة ممفيس في الولاية.
وعندما نقلت خدمات الطوارئ الطفلة روبين إلى المستشفى، أعلنت وفاتهها في وقت لاحق، وفقاً لوسائل إعلام أميركية.
وأفاد شهود العيان أنهم سمعوا أصوات إطلاق النيران في الولاية يوم الجمعة الماضية.

ISIS militants have retaken nearly half of Albu Kamal in eastern Syria in a counter-attack on what had been the last significant town under their full control, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Friday.
“ISIS started counter-attacking on Thursday night and retook more than 40 percent of the town of Albu Kamal,” Rami Abdel Rahman, head of the Britain-based monitor, told Agence France Presse.

Saudi Energy Minister Falih Says More Should Go into Reducing Oil Inventories
Saudi Arabia’s Oil Minister Khalid al-Falih said on Saturday that more work was needed to reduce global oil inventories.
“There is a general satisfaction with the strategy of 24 countries that signed a declaration of cooperation,” he said after a meeting attended by his Russian, Uzbek and Kazakh counterparts.
Russia, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan had announced earlier their willingness to do more work to reduce global oil inventories, the Russian energy ministry said in a statement on Saturday after a meeting of officials from the four countries.
