Yemen Consultations in Geneva End amid Houthi Absence
UN special envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths announced on Saturday the conclusion of the Yemeni consultations in Geneva.
He expressed his frustration at the failure of the Houthi militias delegation to participate at the consultations.
The Iran-backed Houthis had also rejected the envoy’s proposed alternatives and options for bringing them to Geneva.

Isolated North Cyprus Reels from Plunging Turkish Lira
Hit by the tanking Turkish lira, breakaway northern Cyprus is struggling to fend off a crisis largely outside the control of the isolated enclave, which relies on Ankara for its economic survival.

Opposition Factions Blow up Bridges in Idlib ahead of Syrian Regime Offensive
Opposition factions in Idlib blew up two key bridges in an attempt to impede a Syrian regime offensive on the northwestern province, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Friday.
The bridges over the Orontes River linked areas of neighboring Hama province, under regime control, to opposition-held territory in Idlib, the Britain-based rights monitor said.
“They were the two main bridges in the area, but there are others,” Observatory head Rami Abdel Rahman told AFP.

UAE Expresses Solidarity with Saudi Arabia against Foreign Interference
The United Arab Emirates expressed on Monday its absolute rejection of any interference in the internal affairs of Saudi Arabia and voiced its vehement support for any actions or policies the Kingdom may take or adopt in this regard, reported the Saudi Press Agency.
