الدانمارك تلغي زيارة برلمانية للسعودية
ألغت لجنة السياسة الخارجية في البرلمان الدانماركي زيارة برلمانية لها كانت مقررة الأسبوع المقبل إلى السعودية على خلفية مقتل الصحفي جمال خاشقجي، “خشية استغلال القيادة السعودية للزيارة”.

Hariri Court Prosecution Says There is Compelling Evidence against ‘Hezbollah’ Members
The closing arguments at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) set up to investigate the 2005 killing of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri were on Tuesday presented at The Hague where the Prosecution was keen on accusing “Hezbollah” members of standing behind the assassination.
Hariri’s son, Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri, attended Tuesday’s first session, where the Prosecution and the Defense made their closing arguments before the judges issue their verdict later this year.

West Nile Virus Kills Three People in Greece
The Center for Disease Prevention and Control in Greece announced the death of three people from the West Nile Virus (WNV) in the last 48 hours. An official statement said the victims ranged in age between 70 and 80, and died of complications caused by the virus transmitted through a mosquito type.

Belgian 8-Year-Old Boy Finishes High School
An eight-year old Belgian boy who recently graduated from high school told journalists he was proud about it, but still undecided about his future.
Born in the coastal town and former royal resort of Ostend in 2009, Laurent Simons finished high school in less than two years instead of the usual 6 years needed and is about 10 years younger than the other students who graduated at the same time.
According to Reuters, Simons said he’s now considering a career as an engineer, although he will first have to go to university.

Officials Scramble to Contain Tensions amid Tehran Protests against Poor Economy
The eruption of protests in the Iranian capital Tehran on Sunday and Monday has left officials scrambling to contain the tensions and avert further escalation over the deteriorating economy.
Head of the parliamentary committee for national security and foreign policy Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh announced that a meeting will be held on Tuesday between MPs and concerned government officials to address the economy and the people’s concerns, reported the ISNA News Agency.
He highlighted in this regard the importance of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal in wake of the developments in his country.
