Fears from Surge of Iran’s Basij Version in Iraq
The Popular Mobilization Committee office in Basra has announced the establishment of “mobilization forces and reservists of thousands of volunteers,” a move seen by the city’s residents as an attempt to build an Iraqi copy of Iran’s Basij.

Yemen Files Complaint at Security Council against ‘Hezbollah’
The Yemeni government filed a complaint to the United Nations Security Council against the Iran-backed Lebanese “Hezbollah” party over its meddling in its internal affairs, reported Al-Arabiya.net.
It said that the Iran-backed Houthi militias were being ordered by “Hezbollah” to hinder the UN-sponsored Geneva talks set for September 6.
The complaint referred to a recent speech by “Hezbollah” chief Hassan Nasrallah on June 29 in which he announced that his party members hope to fight in Yemen alongside the Houthis.
