The Yemeni Coalition for Monitoring Human Rights Violations urged on Monday the United Nations to intervene to end the Iran-backed Houthi militias’ recruitment of children for their war effort.

The coalition told the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva that the majority of reports by UN agencies, such as UNICEF, have confirmed that the number of children recruited by the Houthis amounts to half of the militias’ ranks.
